Meredyth Taylor, Associate

Meredyth's strengths include communication and writing skills; the ability to understand, and facilitate the resolution of issues, and to work successfully across a range of agencies and sectors.  Having also worked at a level with Ministerial briefings, community leaders and the heads of Government departments she is experienced in developing communication strategies, community consultation processes, research methods, policy analysis,  project management and strategic planning.

  • Securing over $1m of funding for a range of community development and employment projects as Project Director of the Playford Partnership In collaboration with Government partner agencies.

  • Managing community consultation processes to identify community issues and concerns for significant Land Management Corporation projects such as Bowden Brompton, Port Adelaide, Seaford, Northfield and developing communication plans to address and respond to these concerns.

  • Working with Aboriginal communities to secure positive outcomes within urban development projects.

  • Securing successful social and urban design outcomes for new urban developments through the development and implementation of social development plans.

  • Project managed Community Trust Funds with funds up to $1m respectively.

  • Securing funding and managing public art projects within urban developments such as Northfield, Mawson Lakes and Technology Park.

  • Involvement in setting up Adelaide’s first Rape Crisis Centre and working for legal and police process reforms.

  • Involvement in establishing the first Aboriginal Women’s shelter in Adelaide.

  • Lobbying successfully for changes in rape and domestic violence law and police and Government process as part of the women’s movement and as a staff member at the ARCC and a women’s’ shelter.
