Career Achievements

  • Developed a Human Services Strategic Plan for the Northern Metropolitan Region of Adelaide

  • Developed a four year Ageing Strategy for implementation across the City of Salisbury

  • Developed a Health Policy and Strategic Plan for implementation across the City of Salisbury. Won the National Heart Foundation Prize for Policy Development.

  • Developed an Access and Equity Policy and Strategic Framework for implementation across all departments of Salisbury Council.

  • Project managed two Community Trust Funds with funds respectively of up to $2m.

  • Successfully managed a Community Health Centre, including development of service models, staffing, primary health care initiatives, facilities and budgets.

  • Evaluated and reported on future funding and service delivery model requirements of a regional based early intervention family services program.

  • Developed the Carers Support Programme for the Northern Metropolitan Region of Adelaide.

  • Developed an intersectoral consulting and planning process of human service delivery within an inner southern LGA of metropolitan Adelaide.

  • Secured significant additional Federal funding in order to establish four additional outreach clinics for the Family Planning Association NT.

  • As Chairperson of a regional non-government community based accommodation service for homeless young women and their children, I successfully collaborated with a similar, but church-based service to develop the statewide organisation now known as Young Women and Childrens Support Services (SA) Inc. (YWACSS).  The success of this position was bringing together two agencies, which provided similar services, but had significantly different management structures.

  • Developed, implemented and evaluated therapeutic group and community development programs for community members and specific population groups.

  • Contributed to the design and evaluation of women’s health and social health modules for medical and broader based multi-disciplinary tertiary students.  Also tutored in these programs.

  • Developed a service-wide Community Health Program Planning and Evaluation Kit.  Designed and implemented in-house training in the use of the Kit.
